o Supervise employees in Psychologist I and II positions, as assigned. Supervise employees in the Psychology Trainee 1 position, as assigned. o Review behavior plans, functional behavior assessments, risk assessments, risk management plans, psychological evaluations, and other documents as assigned, written by employees in Psychologist 1 and II and Psychology Trainee 1 positions, and provide guidance and correction as needed. o Provide supervision and guidance to employees in Psychologist I and II and Psychology Trainee 1 positions on issues relating to counseling of individuals, finding effective reinforcements for individuals to help them reduce inappropriate and dangerous behaviors, and developing methods of reducing risk to self and others for individuals. o Develop, implement, and monitor behavior plans for individuals with developmental disabilities. Train staff in the behavior plans. Perform Functional Behavioral Analyses for individuals prior to developing behavior plans and document the results in a report. o Analyze behavior data and write progress notes. o Participate in team and psychology meetings, and report individuals' progress in target behaviors to the team. o Conduct assessments as needed, including but not limited to evaluations of cognitive functioning, adaptive behavior, ability to consent to sexual activity, psychotropic medication, and medical procedures, risk assessments, and risk management plans. Analyze results and present them in a report. o Inform psychiatrist of current status of individuals prior to psychiatric appointments, and attend psychiatric appointments as needed. o Present to the Human Rights committee, High Risk committee, and Informed Consent Committee, as needed, and provide all documentation requested for the presentations. o Perform group and individual counseling, as needed. o Will be responsible for a caseload covering individuals in state operated residences. o Adhere to all policies and procedures of Long Island DDSOO, and take all mandatory trainings, as required. o Participate in Administrator on Call (AOC) duties.

Salary Range:
From $81446 to $102661 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR for Transfer Opportunity:
Candidates must have one year of permanent service as a Licensed Psychologist and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be in a title deemed appropriate for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. In addition, candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State; OR Must have one year of permanent service in a title within two (2) salary grades of G-25, and have a passing score and current status on the Licensed Psychologist eligible list to be eligible for transfer under 70.4 of the Civil Service Law; OR Temporary Appointment:
Licensed Psychologist is a continuous recruitment examination. Candidates who are not currently on the eligible list may apply for this position and if appointed, will receive a temporary appointment. To qualify, candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
