Neuro Critical Care Physician Assistant

A large, not-for-profit health system on Long Island has multiple opportunities now available for Acute Care Nurse Practitioners or Neuro Critical Care Physician Assistants to work in a high-acuity neuro unit.


The Neuro Critical Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will work in one of the most awarded hospitals within this healthcare system. With nearly 400 beds, over 500 Board Certified Physicians, busy ER and a comprehensive neuro/stroke program, this hospital is in need of experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with NP or RN experience in neuro.


The Neuro Critical Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will work in a large neurosurgery department with four other PA's, including a Senior PA to oversee the team. ¬ The department treats patients with brain tumors, cerebral aneurysms and AVM's, hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke and a full scope of spine disorders. This hospital uses advanced endovascular and surgical treatments, as well as non-surgical treatments.


The Neuro Critical Care Physician Assistant¬ will work within the Neuro ICU, as well as in the clinic. Responsibilities include patient assessment and examination, taking medical history, ordering appropriate labs and tests, making diagnosis in collaboration with physicians and administering and/or prescribing treatments.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
