Heatherwood has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President of Finance.
The Vice President of Finance will be a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, overseeing our Finance and Accounting team and driving decision-making around capital allocation, including acquisitions, growth investments, and capital raising.
The Vice President of Finance will own all corporate financial activity and play a key role in monitoring, evaluating, and implementing overall corporate financial strategies.
He/she will have full oversight of our finance functions, including financial management, accounting, treasury, and overall strategy.
This role requires an experienced strategic finance leader with a deep understanding of profitably scaling high-growth businesses and leading exit processes.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Work with executive leadership to develop short, mid, and long-term financial strategies and business sustainability plans.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors and lenders.
Act as the primary point of contact for financial discussions, negotiations, and presentations.
Effectively communicate the company's financial performance, investment opportunities, and potential risks.
Oversee and improve financial reporting infrastructure to enable strategic decisions and maintain ongoing analysis and performance tracking for the executive team at large.
Capital Management:
Evaluate and optimize the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing, to support growth objectives.
Lead fundraising and debt financing efforts, managing relationships with lending/financial institutions to optimize cash management strategies.
Creation and execution of joint venture structures in the real estate industry in both acquisitions and development.
Ability to dynamically model real estate loans in-house.
Manage cash flow and oversee accounting operations such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and other functions.
Effectively lead and collaborate cross-functionally with Construction, Development, Revenue, Marketing, and other teams.
Partner with legal to align on contractual terms.
Financial Modeling:
Establish and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the company's overall financial health and progress toward goals.
Work with developers on real estate financial modeling / proformas ultimately to be the gatekeeper for all financial modeling on new deals as well as true-up and performance evaluation upon stabilization of assets.
Manage and support tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
Required Skills and
Experience:

years of related, progressive experience, with at least 7
years of experience overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting in a strategic leadership role.
A track record of creating and executing a sustainable financial strategy while partnering with operational and sales teams.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive fast-paced execution.
Proven track record of successfully managing and building high-performing teams; known for your talent in training and developing individuals to help them reach their full potential.
Experience working closely with executives and ownership and presenting both internally and externally.
Significant experience developing strategy for and managing treasury and cash flow management functions.
Exceptional project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Keen eye for detail and precision, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details when necessary.
Experience with financing, acquisitions and disposition of real estate assets, and investor relations.
Real Estate and Development experience preferred.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; CPA and MBA are preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
